FAQ
-
How do I prepare for my appointment? When coming in for your lash appointment, please make sure that your eyes are clean and free of all make up, sunscreen, moisturizer, etc. Since you cannot get your lashes wet for two hours post application, some clients prefer to shower or exercise before their appointment. Also, please avoid curling your eyelashes for at least 3 days before your scheduled appointment to allow for proper adhesion.
-
How long should I go between fills? This can vary from person to person based on after care, skin's natural oil levels and hair growth cycles. On average, you should be coming in for a fill between 2 and 3 weeks. Just keep in mind that you want at least 50% of your extensions remaining when you come in for a fill.
-
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes? When done properly, lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes. At Lotus Lash Extensions our number one priority is keeping your natural lashes happy and healthy. This means proper isolation and choosing extensions that are right for you.
-
Can I wear makeup with eyelash extensions?Oil free makeup is fine to wear while having lash extensions. Always check the labels to make sure your products do not contain oil as this will cause the lashes to shed prematurely. Mascara is strongly discouraged as it will do just that. Please remember to remove all makeup before your lash appointment to allow maximum application time.
-
What is the difference between classic, volume and hybrid lashes?"Classic lashes are one extension per natural lash, giving you the most natural look. Volume lashes are handmade fans using multiple thinner extensions which are then applied to each natural lash. Volume lashes are full and fluffy without weighing down the natural lash. Hybrid lashes are a combination of single classic extensions and volume fans. All options come in varying lengths to suit your eye shape.
-
What is the process like? While comfortably reclined, your lashes will be assessed and you will be asked what type of look you are trying to achieve. The process is relaxing and pain free. You might even want to take a lash nap.
